During the Easter holidays, Art Moves Europe e.V. conducted a workshop on “Climate Change” with 14 young people in the city of Eschweiler. The campaign was initiated by the youth welfare office of the city of Eschweiler on the occasion of the 2021 flood disaster. The young people designed 9 sculptures made of Pietra Leccese and interpreted the theme further than expected. You have taken up issues that you think require a change in society, spanning the spectrum from climate protection and animal welfare to the question of peace. The sculptures will be displayed in public space in Julie in Eschweiler as a memorial to the flood disaster together with a 370 cm high monolith. Here are a few impressions of the final touches.
